Track Selection Process

Our objective: further developing the quality of research within the Euram community.

Based on the success of past Euram conferences, we decided, for Euram2007, to further develop discussions and exchanges around papers of the best quality possible.  In order to meet this objective we took the following steps:

  • Creation of a Scientific Committee in charge of evaluating track proposals and of supporting track chairs in their tasks (i.e. evaluation and selection of papers for the considered track).
  • Commitment to provide authors with two written reviews of their papers.

63 tracks proposals were submitted this year, much more than what the conference can accommodate. We provided the SC members with a standard evaluation form for track proposals. Each track proposal was evaluated by two different Scientific Committee members, and ranked against three or four other track proposals addressing the same broad academic domain. Based on the average rank, the organization committee selected the 30 top ranked tracks.

The description of the selected tracks and the related call for papers will be posted on the Euram2007 website by October 3. In order to have time to complete a thorough review process, the deadline for the submission of full papers is January 2, 2007.
